Abstract

This chapter begins with a brief introduction to computed tomography (CT) and pathology of the brain. It describes the indications for using CT in this area and then covers the technical aspects: positioning, technical parameters, intravenous contrast (IV), and interpretation. The next part considers normal CT anatomy and anatomic variations and then looks at pathologic findings: congenital/developmental, degenerative, neoplastic, inflammation, vascular lesions, and head trauma. It provides the conclusions by exploring brain biopsies
