Abstract

This chapter describes the third and final phase of the computed tomography (CT) imaging process: conversion of digital images produced in the reconstruction phase into visible images or analogue images. There are several adjustable factors associated with this that can have a significant effect on the visibility within various anatomical regions. This chapter begins by explaining the general process and associated factors, then explores digital-to-analogue (grey-scale) conversion, windowing, and finally zoom or magnification.
