Applications of Tree Spaces to Language Ancestry
Abstract
This chapter is dedicated to a Latin alphabet-based analysis of a group of European language origins using a clustering-based tree building. The clustering is using as a criterion the first letter of words in various language used for the same object or concept. The R data analysis is due to Garett Ordway, to whom we are very grateful for providing his results.
