Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI), the process of collecting data through intricate databases using advanced machine learning techniques, has become integrated into the field of medicine. AI methods have demonstrated the ability to expedite the advancement of diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disorders (CVDs), such as a condition known as heart failure (HF), atrial fibrillation, and heart rhythm disorders, such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or congenital cardiac defects. In medical applications, AI has demonstrated its effectiveness in diagnosing CVD, improving the performance of supplementary devices, stratifying and categorizing disorders, and predicting outcomes. It is anticipated that contemporary AI techniques, which are developed to discover complex sequences in massive healthcare records, will be able to perform more challenging tasks than previous approaches. This chapter provides a summary of the most recent uses of AI in the field of cardiology (CVDs). The purpose of this chapter is to provide practitioners, who have little experience in AI, a comprehensive overview of current advances in AI and the efficient incorporation of algorithms based on AI into medical procedures.
