Abstract

This chapter explores evidence-based pharmacist care in the management of rhinitis, highlighting its clinical, economic, and humanistic benefits. Pharmacists improve clinical outcomes by ensuring accurate diagnosis, optimizing medication use (e.g., antihistamines, corticosteroids), and managing comorbidities. Their role in educating patients enhances adherence, symptom control, and inhaler technique. Economically, pharmacist interventions reduce unnecessary physician visits and medication misuse, thus lowering overall treatment costs. Humanistic outcomes include improved patient satisfaction, reduced symptom burden, and enhanced quality of life. Integrating pharmacists into primary care and multidisciplinary teams is essential to achieve optimal outcomes and provide comprehensive, cost-effective, and patient-centered rhinitis care.
