Abstract

This chapter focuses on evidence-based pharmacist care in cystic fibrosis (CF) management, highlighting its impact on clinical, economic, and humanistic outcomes. Pharmacists contribute significantly through medication optimization, adherence support, drug interaction prevention, and management of complex therapeutic regimens. Clinically, pharmacist-led interventions improve lung function, reduce exacerbations, and enhance treatment efficacy. Economically, these services minimize hospitalization rates and reduce overall healthcare costs. On the humanistic side, pharmacists provide patient and caregiver education, fostering self-management and improving quality of life. Their role in multidisciplinary teams is essential to achieving comprehensive, cost-effective, and patient-centered CF care, ultimately improving long-term patient outcomes.
