Abstract

This chapter reviews evidence-based pharmacist care interventions— including individualized medication optimization, therapeutic monitoring, and proactive adverse-effect management—that reduce symptom severity and improve functional status. Patient-centered services such as patient education, adherence support, drug–drug interaction screening, and cost-containment strategies (e.g., generic substitution, patient-assistance programs). Humanistic benefits comprise enhanced treatment satisfaction, self-efficacy, and health-related quality of life. Implementation frameworks emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration, digital health tools, and professional development, while addressing barriers such as time constraints, regulatory limitations, and reimbursement challenges. Finally, recommendations for standardized metrics and practice guidelines are proposed to support the sustainable integration of pharmacist-led care in anxiety management.
