Abstract

256 This chapter explores the innovative intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and nucleic acid delivery, presenting case studies and success stories that highlight the transformative potential of this interdisciplinary approach. Nucleic acid delivery holds immense promise for therapeutic applications, offering targeted treatment options for various diseases, including cancer and genetic disorders. However, the effective delivery of nucleic acids faces numerous challenges, including cellular uptake, intracellular trafficking, and immunogenicity. By leveraging AI-driven approaches, researchers have developed novel strategies to overcome these hurdles and enhance the efficiency and specificity of nucleic acid delivery systems. Through a comprehensive review of case studies and success stories, this chapter demonstrates how AI algorithms optimize delivery vehicles, predict potential off-target effects, and personalize treatment regimens based on patient-specific factors. Moreover, it elucidates how machine learning algorithms analyze large datasets to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets, accelerating the discovery and development of nucleic acid-based therapies. The chapter underscores the diverse applications of AI in nucleic acid delivery, ranging from drug discovery and development to clinical translation. By showcasing realworld examples of AI-driven innovations in this field, this chapter aims to inspire future research endeavors and foster collaboration between AI experts and nucleic acid delivery specialists.
