Abstract

This chapter consists of fundamental notions that will help in the subsequent chapters and will make the book self-contained. Here we have discussed the fundamental notion of the characteristic function, FS, RS, CFS, FRS, and CFRS. Moreover, the fundamental operational laws based on these theories have been used to provide the foundation of aggregation theory.
