Product Design and Prompt Engineering

Prompt Engineering is the term used to describe an evolving field of how to develop prompts to communicate with generative AI to get it to give you the context you want. It is not engineering in the definition of engineering but is an analytical function that captures the know-how of jobs, art, and design into prompts. Prompt engineering is the fastest growing area of generative AI that excites me most because I see it as a way by which artists and users can engage with the AI to test its limits and innovators are pushing the boundary of what the AI can do to allow for the generative AI developers to adapt and iterate and improve the models and intelligent apps. I also see prompt engineering as a fast-growing skill that is going to be needed by artists, marketing designers, and writers to do their jobs in the future, with generative AI models becoming tools in their hands to create human-augmented generated content.
