Abstract

The study predicts that the capacity of India’s solar energy sources will grow from 120 GW in 2024 to 304.9 GW in 2036 and that solar energy has surpassed wind and hydro-power. It is vital to evaluate the influence of solar energy on India’s future and see if it can replace coal power. With a predicted lifespan of 25 years, the growth of the solar industry will result in a significant amount of waste, up to 16%. Although the existing solar study focuses on efficiency, the removal of wrecked solar panels is also a concern. Recycling is a solution, but only a few companies can handle it effectively. In the approaching periods, disposing of solar panels will be a major ecological subject. The study focuses on the recycling of solar panels, including environmental protection, recycling technology, recycling legislation, financial implications, and waste management. It also provides suggestions for improving technology and making political decisions to ensure a smooth rollout of solar energy. A forecasting model predicts the volume of waste produced by solar panels and its balance of the system employing a reliability function. The investigation also evaluates the quantity of raw materials that can be recovered after recycling. Numerous nations are considering expanding the accountability of solar material traders by integrating reuse or disposal as a fundamental component of their recycling management tactics. The solar sector should persistently enhance its practicality, efficient recovery rate, environmental impact, and economic viability to contribute to a more sustainable and cleaner future.
