Abstract

Community-engaged research involves partnership of academic researchers with the community of people directly affected by research, such as patients and caregivers, in research decision making. Compared with purely investigator-driven research, community-engaged research may be more ethical and equitable and may improve the design and delivery of studies. In this study, we sought to understand the prevalence of community-engaged research in high-impact general neurology journals.
