Apply It! • ACSM's Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologists (ACSM-CEP) will have a better understanding of the requirements associated with pursuing the Diabetes Care and Education Specialist Certification. • Better understanding of the beneficial roles ACSM-CEPs can play in assisting the diabetes population in the specific role and setting of Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support programs. • Professionals working in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation or similar programs will be better prepared to consider developing a Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support program.
