Department management

The effectiveness of higher education in Russia is largely due to the results of the work of university departments, whose role in the transition to market relations, the digital economy, the intensification of social production, and increasing demands on the quality of personnel training for the national economy has increased significantly, and their management has become more complex. Special attention is paid to working with staff, organizing the educational process, methodological, scientific and social work, informatization of activities, and improving the level of organization of personal work of the head of the department. The textbook is based on a generalization of the experience of department management in Russian universities. It is intended for heads of departments, and will also be of interest to deans, rectors and the management reserve of higher educational institutions. It was prepared within the framework of a grant from the Foundation for the Support of Russian Teaching, allocated to the winner of the All-Russian competition "Leader in Education".
