Abstract

WŁADYSŁAW HENRYK MELANOWSKI (1888-1974) – DISTINGUISHED ORGANIZER AND HISTORIAN OF POLISH OPHTHALMOLOGY The aim of this work is to present the profile and scientific achievements of Władysław Henryk Melanowski (1888-1974). He was an ophthalmologist, professor, and head of the Department and Clinic of Ophthalmology at the University of Warsaw, as well as director of the Ophthalmic Institute in Warsaw.
