President Trump’s commitment to making the US government more efficient is commendable. However, some of his recent executive orders have raised questions about the effectiveness of his plans. Nonetheless, there is a great opportunity for the US government to collaborate with thousands of US researchers from the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) and the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), who have proven records of helping the government become more efficient and effective.
