Formation of an innovative ecosystem for sustainable development of the regional economy: innovative modernization in the security dimension
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of approaches to the formation of an innovative ecosystem for the sustainable development of a regional economy, particularly in terms of innovation-driven modernization within a security dimension. The research methodology is based on the interdisciplinarity of improving the mechanisms for forming an innovative ecosystem, taking into account institutional and managerial aspects, as well as the provisions of regional economics, systemic, ecosystem-based, institutional, and security approaches. The information base consisted of official statistics and analytical reports. An analysis of scientific works on theoretical approaches to the interpretation of the innovative ecosystem, ecosystem formation, ensuring innovation-driven sustainable development, and the security of innovative ecosystems was conducted. The importance of approaches to shaping the institutional environment in ensuring the required level of the security component, aligning the interests of stakeholders, and the role of the main structural components of the ecosystem in generating resources for innovation in sustainable development has been established. The interdependence of competitiveness, digital transformation, and financial inclusion, as well as their impact on the sustainable efficiency of the ecosystem in ensuring the security of sustainable development, has been demonstrated. The significance of the relationship between innovation and economic security in financing innovation – based on motivating or destabilizing factors – has been determined for sustainable development. A correlation-regression relationship of the volume of sold industrial products as a derivative outcome of innovation has been developed. The findings obtained can be used in the formation of strategies for the innovative ecosystem of sustainable regional economic development, based on the studied conceptual and methodological framework, ensuring the integration of innovation, sustainability, and security into a unified development model, as well as in providing resources for innovation-driven modernization within a security dimension.
