Stroke recovery in low- and middle-income countries: spotlight on the integral role played by stroke support organisations
Abstract
Stroke is rising in low- and middle-income countries across the world. The article discusses the burden this creates in African countries and highlights the role of stroke support organisations. The authors also discuss the set-up of a stroke support organisation in Malawi and its achievements.
