Abstract
Over the past few years, many scholars have investigated collocations, mainly focusing on Light Verb Constructions (LVCs), carrying out numerous studies to this lexical phenomenon and attempting to identify their different types and characteristics. As regards Latin, the most frequent LVCs present the [V+NACC] pattern, in which the Light Verb cooccurs with a noun in object position. For instance, it is possible to observe this pattern in opem ferre, morem gerere, verba facere, verba habere, ludos facere, bellum gerere, spem ponere, dare/facere saltum. This paper analyses the argument structure of a particular Latin LVC characterised by the [V+NACC] pattern, ludos facere, which has two different semantic values.
