José Saramago e Ernesto Sabato entre amizade e cegueira

Entre José Saramago e vários escritores hispano-americanos (entre eles, Jorge Luis Borges, Carlos Fuentes, Gabriel García Márquez, Noé Jitrick, Ernesto Sabato) existiram relações de estima e amizade, bem como laços estéticos e intelectuais. O artigo pretende explorar alguns desses laços, centrando-se especialmente no motivo da cegueira presente em Saramago e Sabato e na respectiva amizade fraterna. Between José Saramago and several Spanish-American writers (among them, Jorge Luis Borges, Carlos Fuentes, Gabriel García Márquez, Noé Jitrick, Ernesto Sabato) there have existed relationships of esteem and friendship as well as aesthetic and intellectual bonds. This contribution aims to explore some of these bonds, focusing especially on the motif of blindness present in Saramago and Sabato and in their fraternal friendship.
