Against the Analytical Butcher House. Teachings from authoritarian systems for democracies for understanding the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion
Abstract
The author discusses the epistemological challenges of analyzing the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion, referred to as the Analytical Butcher House. He offers a way forward by exploring the merits of this approach, considering the lessons learned regarding inclusion and exclusion underway in authoritarian regimes. The need for a multilevel analysis emerges to fully understand the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion.
