Abstract

Abstract: Jean Tardieu’s poetry questions our relationship with the world and restores this disturbing strangeness in condensed poems, laden with meaning. This study shows to what extent the interrogative modality of the poems discussed accurately renders the unhappy consciousness of the lyric subject. Poetic writing ultimately appears as an indispensable help to face the absurdity of the world.
