Full-Year 2025 Estimates Show Overall Stability in Abortion Incidence, Decreased Travel and Increased Telehealth Provision

New data from Guttmacher’s Monthly Abortion Provision Study show that an estimated 1,126,000 abortions were provided by US clinicians in 2025, a figure that is largely unchanged from 2024. The study also found that while out-of-state travel for abortion care declined, telehealth provision to states with total bans increased.
