Abstract

We experimentally compare the performance of single-carrier and digital multi-carrier schemes over long-haul transmission systems using low-loss hollow-core fibers. We show that digital subcarrier multiplexing provides enhanced tolerance to inter-modal interference (IMI) over long distances.
