Topology-preserving optical-spin mapping to skyrmion-like magnetization
Abstract
Nonparaxial optical spin structures generated by tightly focused vector beams provide a compact platform for topological opto-magnetic engineering. Here, we show that a three-dimensional optical-spin texture can be directly transferred into skyrmion-like inverse Faraday magnetization through topology-preserving optical-spin mapping. Under high-numerical-aperture focusing, a hybrid vector vortex develops longitudinal spin reversal and transverse spin winding through transverse-longitudinal coupling. The inverse Faraday effect directly maps the optical-spin topology into an induced magnetization texture without invoking magnetic relaxation or spin dynamics. By optimizing the hybrid vector composition, a near-integer topological charge Q I F E ≈−1 is obtained. Reversing both the vortex charge and helicity switches the topology to Q I F E ≈+1. These results demonstrate that nonparaxial optical-spin structures provide an optical approach for generating switchable topological magnetization textures.
