The analytical model for the normalized wet soil near-infrared reflectance spectra

The paper is aimed at presentation of a new model for the normalized wet soil spectral reflectance. It is shown that the normalized near- infrared spectra of soils can be derived from the value of the normalized soil moisture index in combination with the measured dry soil spectrum. The possibilities of the soil moisture content retrievals from the reflectance spectroscopy are discussed. The model is validated using experimental measurements of wet soils with known soil moisture content.
