Producing Sexploitation: Two Case Studies
Abstract
With relatively few primary documents available detailing the production of sexploitation films, this chapter offers case studies of two films, The Defilers (1965) and Delinquent School Girls (1975), made approximately one decade apart. Beyond describing the expected cost-cutting measures, the study suggests that the respective distribution and exhibition contexts in which the films were made influenced how they were produced and their box-office success.
