Abstract
Ruth Arnold was a semi-finalist in the 2025 UBC Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition. Ruth presented their research, “Small but mighty: baseline population assessments for three seahorse species in Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.” Ruth’s research gathered environmental data to build species models that predict the habitat of a specific seahorse species and provide local communities in Mexico with tools and guidelines for sustainable trade.
