Abstract

Kodee Bao was a finalist in the 2025 UBC Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition. Code presented their research 'The Impact of maternal stress on fetal brain development during pregnancy.' Using a mouse model exposed to cold stress, the study investigates changes in brain cell development and plans to use single-cell RNA sequencing to better understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved. Kodee Bao is completing their MSc in Cell and Developmental Biology in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology under the supervision of Dr. Jessica Rosin.
