Abstract

Participatory storytelling is a dynamic and inclusive method in sustainability science, enabling researchers and local communities to co-create rich, place-based narratives. Focusing on the lived experiences and voices of diverse actors, it reveals the values, emotions, and power dynamics that shape social-ecological systems. As both a research method and a space for dialogue, it helps bridge knowledge and action while supporting more reflexive and transformative sustainability practices.
