Abstract

Frailty and sarcopenia, two prevalent conditions associated with aging, pose significant challenges to the health and well-being of older people worldwide. Frailty is characterized by decreased physiological reserve and increased vulnerability to stressors, whereas sarcopenia involves the progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength. Both conditions are associated with aging and contribute to functional decline, increased risk of falls, disability, and mortality among older individuals.
