In memoriam
Abstract
Abstract As announced a few months ago, Ted Becker passed away August 4 th , 2025, shortly after his 95 th birthday. With his passing, IUPAC has lost a most reliable and friendly volunteer, a passionate supporter, a creative idea generator, and a firm leader when need be. His involvement can be traced all over the Union, and he played a crucial role on several occasions in the history of the organization.
