Effect of urban park landscapes on soil springtail diversity

This dataset documents springtail communities and other soil fauna groups sampled across several public urban parks in Montpellier (France). Soil samples were collected to assess the influence of landscape structure and local environmental conditions on soil biodiversity. The dataset includes biological data describing the abundance and species composition of Collembola and other soil fauna groups at each sampling point. Environmental variables related to landscape characteristics and soil physico-chemical properties were also collected, but are not included in this dataset. The data were produced as part of a research project investigating the effects of urbanization and landscape fragmentation on soil biodiversity and soil ecological quality in urban environments.
