Proceedings of the Entomological Society of Washington 127 (3): 485-500, DOI: 10.4289/0013-8797.127.3.485Abstract.— Parastenomyia new genus of Neotropical picture-winged flies (Ulidiidae) is established to include P. waynei, new species (type locality, Costa Rica), P. peruviana, new species (Peru), P. ecuadoriana, new species (Ecuador), and P. willii, new species (Peru). A key to related genera and species of the genus, diagnoses, descriptions, and color illustrations are provided. The position and possible relationships of the genus in the tribe Lipsanini are discussed.
