Abstract

This dataset contains the digitized treatments in Plazi based on the original journal article He, Ming-Hui, Luo, Xing-Yu, Habib, Kamran, Lu, Ping-Zhu, Jin, Yi-Lan, Ashraf, Urooj, Li, Qi-Rui (2026): Multigene phylogenetic analyses and morpho-anatomical characterization revealed two new species of Xylariomycetidae from Yunnan, China. MycoKeys 127: 289-306, DOI: 10.3897/mycokeys.127.179422AbstractDuring a survey of ascomycetes in Yunnan Province, China, two new wood-inhabiting fungi were collected and identified. These novel species are described based on morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analyses of the ITS, LSU, rpb 2, and tef 1 loci. The newly identified species are designated as Amphisphaeria zhaotongensis and Pallidoperidium yunnanense, belonging to the families Amphisphaeriaceae and Pallidoperidiaceae, respectively. These species are confirmed as distinct from their close relatives through phylogenetic analyses and morpho-anatomical comparison. The study provides detailed morphological descriptions, illustrative representations, and a phylogenetic tree, all of which contribute to the taxonomic positioning of these novel species.
