Abstract

This dataset comprises occurrence records of reptile specimens collected in Mozambique between 1918 and 2012 and curated at the Natural History Museum. The records are based primarily on preserved museum specimens and include taxonomic identification, collection dates, locality information, and collector details where available. The dataset provides historical baseline data on reptile diversity and distribution in Mozambique and supports research in biogeography, taxonomy, conservation planning, and biodiversity assessments.
