DFO Maritimes Region: Biodiversity assessment of fish communities of the St. Anns Bank MPA, Gully MPA, and Fundian Channel-Browns Bank Area of Interest using eDNA metabarcoding (12S)
Abstract
Perley Offshore 2024 eDNA data collection at two Marine Protected Areas (St. Anns Bank, Gully) and one Area of Interest (Fundian Channel-Browns Bank) in the Maritimes Region targeting the 12S gene region. eDNA samples were collected to target key benthic habitats and obtain representative biodiversity data. One eDNA cast was conducted per station, where a CTD rosette was deployed within 2 meters of the recorded depth. Data for the COI gene are also available in OBIS.
