Abstract

In Vietnam, Lumpy skin disease (LSD) cases have been reported over the last two years, and information on the epidemiology of the disease is rare. A cross-sectional surveillance study was conducted from November 2020 to August 2023 in three districts in Lang Son Province to estimate LSDV prevalence and assess its associated risk factors at the herd level. The number of collected cattle households was 97. The apparent and true prevalence of LSDV at the household level was 28 .87% (95% CI: 20.79–38.55%) and 31.31% (95% CI: 22.24–42.19%). The management practice risks were the replacement of new cattle from outside (p
