Insatisfação no trabalho das equipes de saúde da família em municípios selecionados de Santa Catarina, Brasil: uma abordagem qualitativa
Abstract
The scope of this study is to identify the factors influencing job dissatisfaction among healthcare professionals working in Family Health Teams in selected municipalities in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. This qualitative study included 64 professionals from 16 Family Health Teams located in the cities of Criciúma, Joinville, Blumenau, Lages, and Chapecó. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews conducted between March and December 2020 with 64 healthcare professionals. Thematic content analysis was performed using ATLAS.ti 22 software. Three major categories emerged from the analysis: (1) work overload and challenges in people management (54%); (2) inadequate salaries and infringements of labor rights (29.8%); and (3) structural and logistical barriers to healthcare delivery (16.2%). Contributing factors included understaffed teams, insufficient recognition and valuation of professionals, disorganization in personnel management, low wages, and disregard for labor rights, deficits in financial resources, materials, and physical infrastructure. The findings indicate that working conditions and the organization of care delivery substantially contribute to the dissatisfaction experienced by Family Health Team professionals.
