Abstract

Two new species of Glyphonyx Candèze, 1863 from Kyrdemkulai and Umiam, Meghalaya, India, Glyphonyx kyrdemkulaiensis Mandal and Chandran, new species and Glyphonyx ribhoiensis Mandal and Chandran, new species, are described. These new species can be distinguished from congeners by differences in the scutellar shield, pronotal pubescence, elytral length, structure of the bursa copulatrix sclerite, and by the sclerotized portion of the spermatheca. Additionally, a diagnostic key and checklist of all known species from India are provided.
