Abstract

Child and adolescent abuse is a serious public health problem that can cause morbidity or mortality, which can be aggravated depending on the social determinants of health that involve the daily lives of the individuals who suffer violence. The objective of this research was to map recently published articles with information about social factors on Social Determinants of Health in the context of Child and Adolescent Abuse. Based on a qualitative research approach with bibliographical clipping, content analysis was performed after sample selection. In short, the results indicate that violence affects physical and emotional issues, interfering with the integral health of children and adolescents. In this sense, the abuse factor becomes a social determinant that must be taken into account in health care. It is also expected that the results of the research can collaborate with the strengthening of actions of social workers and other professionals who work in health, envisioning comprehensive health care, taking into account the need for care and resolution of social problems, which can be thought of in terms of public policies for social protection.
