Abstract

One effective particulate cooler is a grizzly cooler that uses a cross-heat exchange scheme. According to its material balance, the bulk of the materials in it are streams of cold air from the atmosphere (57.37 %), discharged into the atmosphere with a temperature of 114 °C (23.85 %) and supplied to the furnace with a temperature of 404 °C (33.52 %). During its operation, three sources of dust removal are observed: dust returned to the finished product after gas cleaning (0.04 %), dust discharge to the atmosphere (0.02 %) and to the furnace with hot blast (7.1 %). The thermal efficiency of the grate cooler is 88.11 %.To reduce the final temperature of the clinker, it is advisable to install inclined plates in the supply and exhaust gas headers to change their gas-dynamic resistance.
