Abstract

The guidelines contain information on the theoretical foundations of lung cancer screening, regulatory legal acts regulating the organization of lung cancer screening events in the framework of medical examinations of certain groups of the adult population, the technological process of low-dose computed tomography screening, and the specifics of forming conclusions based on the results of computed tomography of the chest organs. The guidelines have been developed for the heads of medical organizations providing primary health care in terms of organizing processes, radiologists, internists, general practitioners, and medical professionals from among the secondary medical staff who are directly involved in the implementation of the medical examination process for certain groups of the adult population. The guidelines were approved at a meeting of the Scientific Council of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «NMIC TPM» of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Protocol No. 7 dated 09/16/2025).
