MATHEMATICAL MODELING METHODS FOR ASSESSING THE LEVEL OF ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY OF AN OIL AND GAS ENTERPRISE IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
This article explores the development of a methodological approach to assessing the environmental responsibility of oil companies in the context of sustainable development. The proposed methodology is based on calculating key environmental indicators and then converting them into a scoring system. The resulting integrated score allows for determining the company's level of environmental responsibility, ranging from low to high. The scoring system enables quantitative assessment, identifying critical areas, and determining areas for improving environmental performance. The methodology was tested using Tatneft, PJSC as an example, confirming its applicability and practical significance. The developed approach can be used to create environmental responsibility ratings for oil companies, compare their activities, and substantiate management decisions aimed at reducing environmental risks, increasing business resilience, and developing sustainable development strategies in the oil and gas sector.
