Social robots in social work: Opportunities and potential in elderly care. How robotics and AI can relieve the burden on caregivers and improve the well-being of those in need of care Social robots can revolutionize elderly care: they relieve the burden on skilled workers and promote the well-being of those in need of care through emotional and cognitive stimulation. The example of the empathetic robot Navel shows that AI and robotics have the potential to provide support in social areas as well, helping to ensure care in the long term.
