Abstract

This protocol describes the methodology used for a systematic literature review that focuses on Machine Learning-based predictive analytics in public-transport-oriented Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT) services. The aim of the review is to synthesize studies applying Machine Learning methods to predictive tasks related to DRT planning, monitoring, and operations, including demand forecasting, travel-time estimation, waiting-time prediction, service reliability assessment, reservation-outcome prediction, and planning-oriented decision support. This protocol documents the research questions, search strategy, eligibility criteria, screening procedure, data extraction framework, and synthesis and reporting approaches used in the review.
