Modificaciones fraseológicas en el español coloquial digital

This article analyzes the phenomenon of phraseological modification in readers’ comments on the sports newspaper Marca. Modification is understood as the process by which speakers reconfigure idiomatic and fixed expressions in the language to give them new meanings, whether for humorous, critical, or creative purposes. Through a linguistic and discursive analysis of a corpus of comments extracted from the digital version of Marca, the strategies used by readers to modify established phraseological units are examined. The results suggest that readers’ comments constitute a space for linguistic experimentation, where semantic shifts in sports and sociocultural expressions occur, generating new connotations and pragmatic effects.
