Abstract

The purpose of this paper will be to compare the effects of self-selected rest periods vs a customary 2-minute rest period on muscular adaptations. A secondary aim will be to determine how the self-selected rest periods influence time-efficiency of the workout. We hypothesize that there will be no difference in muscular outcomes between conditions, but the self-selection of rest intervals will reduce total training time per session.
