Abstract

I am pleased to announce the publication of a new preprint that offers a mechanical, parameter-free resolution to the "Clumpiness Tension" (S₈) currently challenging the ΛCDM standard model. This work, titled "Resolution of the S8 Tension via Non-Linear Vacuum Hardening: A Generative Proof from the Universal Tension-Driven Lattice (UTDL)," demonstrates that the discrepancy between Early Universe predictions (S₈ ≈ 0.83) and Late Universe weak lensing observations (S₈ ≈ 0.77) is not a failure of observation, but an emergent feature of a non-linear vacuum geometry. Key Findings: Mechanism: The paper identifies a "Vacuum Jamming" phase transition (Phenomenon 37) where the vacuum lattice undergoes strain hardening at high densities, governed by a topological hard core (V_eff ∼ +R⁻²). Derivation: The cosmological hardening coefficient β is derived from first principles as the strain root of the Fine Structure Constant (β = √α_fs ≈ 0.085), linking cosmological structure directly to quantum impedance. Result: Non-linear spherical collapse simulations yield an emergent S₈ ≈ 0.70 - 0.74, resolving the tension without fine-tuning or "New Physics" particles. The full paper is available now.
