Abstract

This study is a retrospective chart review examining appointment adherence among children referred for Genetics consultation at an academic medical center for concerns of hearing loss. We aim to evaluate whether lead time and socio-demographic factors influence rates of missed or completed appointments. 380 patient records will be reviewed, and statistical analyses (t-tests, logistic regression) will be used to identify predictors of adherence. Findings may inform strategies to improve timely access to genetic services for pediatric patients with hearing loss.
